As of last night around 10 PM EST, I was able to finish working on the masic CMS for the site, uploaded the PHP files, and added the first news article. Anyways:

What is DarkGDK.us?
DarkGDK.us is a site I created to make an online community of DarkGDK users, more specifically, create a community oriented project focused on DarkGDK.

Right now it's pretty barren of content, but that is where you, the user can come in. I'm planning to have it where any user can submit a page (for approval,) to be the the site, and allow other users to edit/improve each page. Other plans include adding a DarkGDK reference on the site, as well as a better organized one for Michael Pryor's DarkNet plugin. My ultimate goal is to create a wiki like how php.net documents PHP (it's a great system for documentation if you haven't seen it). Better yet, I'm able to integrate the CMS with the DarkGDK.us Forums (I have done this before).

Other ideas:
- Custom User Function Database. Have a good function in your program, and you think it's worthy enough for the internet? Post it on DarkGDK.us
- User Notes. Kinda like php.net's, it allows users to add comments on each page.
- XML Data API. Content from the site in an XML format, incase any other developers want a go at formatting our content.
- Possibly adding documentation for the other TGC languages. We cater though to the DarkGDK people though.

Do you have an idea, just e-mail me.

Well, the Forums should open up tomorrow, I'm still configuring a few things and need to add some rules for it. Other then that, I should be able to get some other things in the CMS done, all it can do right now is display content, not add it or alter it. I should be able to get a BBCode parser added tonight. If there are any good artists around, you could be of help, or anybody who has created good looking MyBB themes.

I hope you guys like the site, or will be willing to join it.

http://www.darkgdk.us/ <- New community for DarkGDK coming soon!

Update:

I got the BBCode parser added, it works like most BBCode.

Forums are now open, go ahead and join away.

If anyone would like to submit a page, just drop me an e-mail at cuddlebunniezzz12@darkgdk.us . Though I should have the article submitter up tomorrow (as well as some DarkGDK and DarkNet tutorials (they will be very beginner though)).

Can you add a spot for us to post ASM specific questions into the other programming stuff section? I have been interested in learning Assembly and somewhere to ask questions would be nice 8-D

I made some posts in hopes to give other new comers something to reply to. Good luck with the site

Would you mind if i link to it from my site? my site is VERY low traffic ( maybe 3 visits per month by some friends looking for some stuff I post for them ) but it's free advertisement...

Sorry for double post.

Okay, we now got a page submitter and an image uploader (along with a BBCode parser). We could really use more content.

http://www.darkgdk.us/submit.php <- Submit a Page
http://www.darkgdk.us/upload.php <- Upload an Image
http://www.darkgdk.us/index.php?page=4 <- BBCode Parser
http://forums.darkgdk.us/ <- Forums (you need to be registered and logged in to submit/upload, for abuse preventive reasons).

http://www.darkgdk.us/ <- You can now submit pages, upload images, yet were lacking content. We need your help!

Coolio, submitted a small tutorial introducing c++ through the use of DarkGDK, I find the question " How do you make video games? " a lot online but no one ever seems to provide an easy start. The tutorial is intended to teach C++ in a way that immediately involves the reader into a video game making environment. I intend to write more tutorials in the series to introduce more aspects of C++ programming but I have to go to sleep for the night, working in the morning. Will also begin to make some tutorials describing the various commands provided by DarkGDK so that new users can jump right in and get there feet wet with their own basic video games ( like Tic Tac Toe ).
