Yep. The BFG that stands for Big Firing Weapon (Firing stands for something else. If you haven't played DOOM or had been hiding away from society for a long time you probably won't get it, but I don't like to swear). Real Life or fictional BFGs, I'm sure you guys have a favorite. As for my "current" favorite, it will have to be this...

Youtube Video: The Chandelier from mission 15 of Ace Combat 6. You should see it around 2:40.

I swear taking that thing down was hard, and I was using the best jet in the game! Then again I'm not a pilot...

In the beginning there was nothing. There'll be nothing in the end...

Fallout 3 - Railway Rifle:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krGqhLdSB9w

This thing can staple limbs to the wall, attached to the victim or not - I love to shoot for the eye.

There's lots of good weapons in F3, but the railway rifle is definitely the most fun.

Stake gun from Painkiller springs to mind! I used to love staking people to walls, or indeed each other.

The pistol in the first Halo. It wasn't big, but man, it packed a right punch.

The 'G' stands for weapon? That's strange

My favorite BFG is a rocket launcher in Borderlands. It shot 5 rockets at a single time. Killed a boss in one shot with it. You had to be REALLY close though lol.

He can't say gun? I'm aware of the 'F' but I don't see why he can't say gun.... Jenkins' brain hurts.

LoL! Just noticed the weapon Gun thing. Nice one. And Jenkins isn't talking about teh F (Fat, Friggin, Friendly, Foreign, Funky, Futuristic and so on) he's talking about the G word. You see in the forst post teh G stands for Weapon. My brain no hurt. Me very clever! Me eat a cookie!

I agree with Van B... the Railway Rife is the coolest. I didn't realize it would nail body parts to walls till I saw somebodies head I shot off hanging on a wall with a railroad spike through it.

I know it's not exactly a BFG, but I always liked the cerebral bore in Turok 2, for N64. It locked on to an enemy's brain waves and then slowly drilled through their skull, whilst the contents squirted onto the floor...

Just me then?

Doomsday weapon in Eve Online

A video, about 30 seconds in (language warning):

http://video.google.com/videosearch?hl=en&source=hp&q=doomsday%20weapon&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wv#q=doomsday+eve&hl=en&view=2&emb=0&qvid=doomsday+eve&vid=5176553590891217245

Or, smartbombs, in Jita, which is the main trade hub with about 800 people in it on average:

Sorry about that. I wasn't thinking when I posted "Weapon" instead of "Gun". I don't like to swear, so I wanted to replace the middle word. If I do start to swear, get away from me because I can turn violent (but that's extremely rare as it's hard to get me that angry).

I noticed there are no real life weapons posted. I do remember someone trying to convince me that the magnum carried by Dirty Harry was the "BFG" of pistols...

In the beginning there was nothing. There'll be nothing in the end...

The .44 Magnum is definitely the BFG of handguns.

Yeah the .500 Smith and Wesson is a larger handgun though I'm pretty sure the .600 (or is it .700) Nitro Express is the largest handgun in the world. I could be wrong though.

Here's a quote from Wiki
Quote: "It is built on S&W's largest frame, the X-Frame. The manufacturer claims it is the "most powerful production revolver in the world today".[1] The Pfeifer Zeliska .600 Nitro Express revolver is more powerful but it is not a "production" revolver. "

@Jenkins:

Yep, absolutely correct, key word is "production". The S&W 500 is a joy to shoot, but leaves one a bit sore if you go through a few rounds.

I have two. My custom made sledgehammer cannon for Fallout 3, or my cstom made pool cue rifle from the same game. Nothing beats stapling someone's head to a wall with a pool cue.

Isn't the "AWP" actually a L96A1?

There are a lot of rigged guns in video games, but no gun comes as rigged as the AWP. I can't stand it and I can't stand the people who waste their lives getting so good at it they can run, jump and still shoot you in the face in mid air after only being in view for .5 seconds.

3. Modern Warfare 2 - Tactical Nuke

To sum it up, it's pretty much this:

Meh, so what if it's not exactly a gun, but it's F'ing big .

2. World at War - Wunderwaffe.

Solid piece of zombie-frying ownage. You cannot get any better than this. "Urah, they're dropping like bad habits!"
