You can grab a copy of Fenix Mod for free which will greatly increase your performance, or you can buy Project Blue.

A mod is probably the best way to go for now.

People have been praising the latest beta (v116) for performance and Lee hasn't even added the timer system yet which will hopefully be going into v117.

It might not be long until the official version of FPSC can fly under its own power.

Ideally X9 should also be given the same multi core support X10 has which allows rendering, physics and ai to be processed on seperate cores (if you have them of course!).

Try adding some walls, so the engine has something to work with, instead of the entire skybox as it's boundries.

I only use this for fun and have no interest in making commercial games ^_^

Holly cow, 285gb memory?, actually Windows Vista Home Premium comes with DirecX 10 already, but what it may be making it slow might be the video card, when I got my computer it was running FPSC at 16 fps, then upgraded the video card to a ATI Radeon 3650 and the fps rate jumped to 38 to 40. You should also be running FPSC under Windows XP SP2 Compatibility. That would help a lot.

I am running Windows Vista Home premium SP2, 1GB memory, dual core 2.8 GHz each, without any mods. Even if I use fraps, it drops to like 20 frames per second.

if you wanna know exactly what your computer is running you can go to start menu and type in search, dxdiag , and you will get a complete report of your directx and more stuff.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about 285gb hard drive space. Which is more than enough to run/install FPSC.

@Bigsnake : Google "Asus MARS". 2 gtx285s slapped together with 2gb of memory per GPU. 4GB per card. But yeah, gpu memory definitely doesn't go up to 285gb.

@Nexar : Could we know the model of your graphics card?

Hey, another swede, välkommen!
If you're getting low performance in X9, don't expect to get much better in X10. X9 along with a mod of your choice is the best way to go right now.

SWEDISH

det blev bara segt när jag andvände eai's vapen! men om jag ska vara ärlig, så har jag avinstallerat x9 nu.
