Hey this is my first try at a ZBrush character model. As you can see not much yet, im still roughing out most of it, but this is where i am at.

it just appeared

what i'd suggest is you lower the mesh to about 8,000 polies for roughing out, when your roughing out characters it acctually helps if you keep the poly count low, innitially. also it doesn't look like you've used the z sketch feature, this is a very easy and quick process of roughing out a base mesh. and how many subtools is this made up of? as there appears to be a seem on the legs. however for your first attempt it looks quite good, could you post a render of it in the clay matcap as its quite difficult to see some of the details with the one being used at the moment.

i used zsketch, and im doing the roughing on low res Ansd just the one tool.
