where would i start in prgraming my game and how do i make a car have acceleration/deceleration and turn where i want it to go.

that doesnt give us an indication of where you are as a programmer.

I would consult www.dbheaven.com for simple basics if you are new to programming.

moving along try the tutorials found on this site for DBP if your using that (assumption also)

most programmers have tutorials and code snippets specific to there talents. The masked coder has a good car physics demo but i think its not as up to date as his private one, still good tho.

IMHO you should definitely "learn to program" before you "learn to program games"
