I'm getting between 30-40 fps with a 256mb video card. No mods. I'd say, with one, the fps would increase dramaticly. Regardless, it still runs good by itself.
It all comes down to how you set it up. Some folks have e-mailed me about the fact that enemies cant move across the said segments.
The solutoin is ,again, how it's set up. each theme comes with a flat regular segment that is textured to match the raised ones. If you layout an area with this normal, flat segment where you want character interaction first, then use the raied segments to add your scenery afterwards, your all set. the characters will move freely around on the flat layout you made, and be constrained within this area.
This may be undesirable for some, but for me, it allows me to have more control of where my characters can move in the scene. The player can, of course, run around on top of everything.
Note: When using these new trees, you can select the colision you desire for the trees you use. With box colision, you will have little or no interaction with the prop.
But, if you use poloygon collision, you can easily climb to the top of the tree. (That is where the second screen was taken)
I thought this would be cool if you wanted to take a sniper rifle, climbed a tree, and took out your enemy from an elevated position.
Both types, climbable and non, are included.
Thanks for the comments people. I'll post some more screens tommorow.
BlueFox: Thanks, hon. Say hi to Mike for me. You guys still owe me a moterbike to check out.
