Hi all! Well, now that winter is upon us, I figured it would be a good time to get this done. It should be ready in about 2 weeks.

This is the "Country Time - Winter Expansion Pack" The pack includes all new entities, segments, and some re-textures of the original Country Time Pack, with snow, and ice.

And as a special treat, I've included a " Holiday Kit" that will let you dress up your levels for the holiday season.

It includes animated blinking Christmas lights, as well as garland, a Christmas tree, and a few other goodies that I will fill you in on later.

Here are a few screens for you to have a look.

I cant believe the quality coming from designers - this is absolutely awesome
The attention to detail is amazing, right down to the icicles.

How about a log fire in the cabin or an outside camp fire?

Now i just need to make some Christmas music

That's awesome man! The Country Time pack has always been one of my favorites from you, this is very exciting! And the screenies look fantastic so far; perhaps, you could have the debris of a crashed sleigh with presents and wood splinters everywhere for the player to come across in the forest

Cheers bud

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

Hey Dale! This looks really cool.
I am currently still working on my post-apocalypse pack, getting it ready for sale, but we should work on a free community pack sometime soon after I get this pack finally off my hands. I'm totally up for it so just let me know,

I'm getting between 30-40 fps with a 256mb video card. No mods. I'd say, with one, the fps would increase dramaticly. Regardless, it still runs good by itself.

It all comes down to how you set it up. Some folks have e-mailed me about the fact that enemies cant move across the said segments.

The solutoin is ,again, how it's set up. each theme comes with a flat regular segment that is textured to match the raised ones. If you layout an area with this normal, flat segment where you want character interaction first, then use the raied segments to add your scenery afterwards, your all set. the characters will move freely around on the flat layout you made, and be constrained within this area.

This may be undesirable for some, but for me, it allows me to have more control of where my characters can move in the scene. The player can, of course, run around on top of everything.

Note: When using these new trees, you can select the colision you desire for the trees you use. With box colision, you will have little or no interaction with the prop.

But, if you use poloygon collision, you can easily climb to the top of the tree. (That is where the second screen was taken)

I thought this would be cool if you wanted to take a sniper rifle, climbed a tree, and took out your enemy from an elevated position.

Both types, climbable and non, are included.

Thanks for the comments people. I'll post some more screens tommorow.

BlueFox: Thanks, hon. Say hi to Mike for me. You guys still owe me a moterbike to check out.

Thanks Rolfy!

Sure. If you've got some time to kill, and you'd like to add some stuff to the expansion, your more than welcome Tony, It would be great to have you aboard.

Starmind is working on something special for this as well. But that's still under wraps until just before the release.

That Cliff face would be a fine addition. I'll include anything that is scenery related, rocks, trees, grass & plants. As well as structures or props that might be found in a rustic environment.

Drop me an e-mail.

That would be great. I'm more than likley, going to do another horror pack, or perhaps another expansion on the "Hell House Pack".

Currently I have Sci-Fi part 4 ( It's Huuuuuge! nearly 300 new models), Nuke City, Which is a knock-off of "Megaton city" from Fallout 3, and a Cave Kit in the works now.

I sometimes get working on a particular project for so long, and need to get away from it for a while. Otherwise, I get board with it.

These expansions are a good way for me to take a break from larger projects.

If you guys would like this to be another community pack, just say the word, and you can add what you'd like to the pack ( You can send your stuff to me for consideration, Quality counts here my friends). You can even send me stuff you would like retextured with snow, but it must be your own work, and can be given freely to the community with no legal restrictions.

My ultimate goal with Country Time, is to compile a huge repository of good quality, natural outdoor scenery for FPSC.

In the Universe, nothing ever stays the same.
