This is largely directed towards Rich,

I notice that when you log in you are taken to the shortcuts screen that, amongst other things, tells you your post count. Would you consider adding a user's post count under their avatar? I always like this on forums as 1) it can give a good idea of who is a vet around here and 2) it's strangely satisfying to achieve a new level (such as veteran, ultimate member, etc).

I know some may flame me regarding spammers trying to get a high post count but in my experience that doesn't really happen.

Just my 2 cents (or pence since i'm British )

We've been there and done that before. It's not worth the agro it causes, sorry.

Cheers,

Rich

Thanks for the quick reply.

Do you really get enough people spamming to bump their count up to make it more hassle than it's worth? I didn't realise people could be so juvenile.

it doesnt show who is a vet, it shows who has way too much time on their hands, and who spends more time on the forums than actually programming, er- like me

I'm happy knowing my post count is somewhat high and I spam somewhat less than I used too.

I've done around 1,200 been here for a whole year 0_0 that's 100 a month!

Say I spent 2 seconds for every submission to post then load the topic page - that's a whole 40 mins I've spent sitting in front of the pc waiting for a page to load!

Theres no place like 127.0.0.1

Mattman, your sig is so bad that it makes my eyes hurt! I made you one that is a little easier on the eyes. You can use it if you want.

Never!

as for user status, that could be a bit misleading. Some people, like AsylumHunter, are true DB veterans, having released several commercial games, but only have a postcount of 50-odd.

It's not the colors, it's just plain bad. I mean just look at everyone else's banners, it looks like it took you about 30 seconds to make that thing, why not try to make something a bit nicer?
