Hi again!

2 fast questions....I know this may seem easy but im just getting to grips with FPS, so im sure you gurus out there can sort this quick.

1. Changing the sky.

I change it in the Build game area... but it dont change it at all. Is there anything else I need to do to get it to change? I have read the manual but cant see anything else to do.

2. Info bar.

At the bottom of the screen I get this.....

I get it when I test the game AND when I build a finished game.
How do I get rid of the thing? do I have to set something up in the build game area??

Thanks for helping me... im am a noob at the FPS, but I gotta say its a brill bit of kit!

Hey man, well first of all for your skybox predicament, the only thing I can think of would be whether or not you're clicking the Ok buttons both times? As in, do you change the skybox in the Global Settings, and hit Ok? Then click Ok again for the Build Game window?

Also, what version of FPSC are you currently using, and are you using any mods?

Now, for your other question...that I'm not so sure about. You might be able to find an answer in the community guide though -

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=131868&b=21

Other than that, I'm not too sure man, sorry. I've just always known it to be there, and hadn't thought too much about it

Cheers

EDIT

Oh! Thanks for the info Bigsnake, I didn't know that about the info at the bottom of the screen either. But, regarding your other answer...are you sure? I've never had to do that to make a skybox work.

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

Ok thanxs guys

Bigsnake, u were right, I had to press the enter key before I clicked ok...lol. Stil now I can change the skys!!

But the info bar thing at the bottom of the screen... well...I dont know. I understand what your saying about it being hard coded into the fps creator, tho WHY is anyones guess. Its ruddy annoying to have it there.

But I asked about it because I have seen saved games which dont show it.

Emergence: Infiltration, is one game (among many) that does not have it showing.....so there HAS to be a way of getting rid of the thing.

So anyone else know how to remove the info bar??

Interesting, I really have never had to press enter before; open the window, find whatever skybox I want, double click, and press Ok. It's worked for me as long as I can remember. Oh well just glad to hear you got it sorted out, hopefully someone knows how to help with that info bar as well.

Cheers

Well after reinstalling it all and then adding the packs back its now working right!!! YAH!!!!

I have not put Model Pack 21 back on yet as I did not manage to sort out the buggy problem I was having with it http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=161849&b=21 But for now it all works ok.

The only thing I can think off was that I added the model packs on to it in the wrong order!?!? I know that some of the older mod packs downgrade the app, so it could have been that that caused the problem.

However its now fully patched again so THANXS to all the above for trying to help.
