I have had several people tell me that the games that I make in FPSC X9 will not run in Windows 7.

Has anyone else had this issue?

They work fine for me as well but I have DirectX 9 installed.

Yup runs fine for me aswell but you do need the latest direct x9 installed.

The last I knew you could not install DX10 and DX9 on the same PC. DX10 will over write DX9 and DX9 will say that you have a newer version of the program.

How does one get around that?

I'm not sure. It just installed for me and didn't give me any version conflicts or warnings.

Simply download the latest and install.

This gives you ALL DirectX updates. You don't need to worry about DX 9, 10 or 11.

So I wonder then what the issue is.

EDIT:
One finally got it figured out. They have not enlightened the rest of us though.

EDIT2 The sequel: My friend now says that he only got to the loading screen. He tried compatibility mode and has the latest DirectX. There is a piece of the puzzle missing. Something that we are all not seeing. Hmmmmmmmmm!!???

Still not getting games created in X9 on WinodwsXP to play on Windows7 PCs.
Have tried compatibility mode and the most recent DX.
You say that the games should just run without anything special having to be done.
I am thinking that there must be something.

Strange I have no problem at all running direct x9 games on windows 7 at all.

You can install direct x9 as well as having direct x11 that come with windows 7.

Just download the latest direct x9 and install and direct x9 games should run fine.

i was not able to run games too. all you need to do is change the screen resolution to something your computer can support by changing the setup.ini.
