Thanks, it just occured to me a few days ago that if you cut a triangle into two right-angle triangles it gets a lot simpler.

Are you going to be using my triangles in your 3D program?

bit of a bump here.
I forgot to give credit to Phaelax for his 3D random tree (from his DBC site) which inspired me to make my own tree. I've learned a lot about procedural generation from that program.
