Hey all, I have figured out all I wanted/needed to be able to actually make windows that work with DarkGDK. I figured I should write up a tutorial(seeing as I couldn't find one myself) teaching how to make basic windows with a few resources, and then how to make them work with GDK, as well as how to get GDK into another window. I also included some ready-to-compile projects for each chapter.

Please tell me if there's any part that confuses you, or if there's anything I have left out. You can also tell me if this helps you out in any way.

awesome tutorial
altough there are a lot of stuff i dont understand
but i guess in time it will be ok

for now its cool that you can create main menus and buttons and not use Sprites and stuff to create your own. as windows already have them

Mind if I submit this to DarkGDK.us to put in their tutorial sections?

Credit will be given.

Not at all. Anyone can post it wherever they want, as long as they don't take the credit for it.

If you're just using VC++, then all you need to do is include the header file for that library(eg, #include <iostream>.

If, however, you're wanting to use it with DarkGDK as well, you will need to change the project settings(Project->"project name" properties->Configuration properties->C/C++->Code Generation->Runtime Library) from /MTd to /MT.

Hope that helps.
