3 Dimensional Chat / 3ds max + grouping question.

so, i have 3ds max 2010, and i wonder, can i put my polys into different groups? so when it comes to UVmapping, ill just grab one group and then place it and scale it in the uv map? hope you understand my question. thankful for answers.

there is a group menu with group commands in it.

by some reason, when i select a couple of polygons that i want in one group, i cannot klick any of the commands. help please?

for polygon grouping id use selection sets.
you can quickly select any selection sets you've made.
im not sure where they are in 2010 just hit f1 and search selection sets.

what is sets? how do you do in earlier versons?

heres a picture for more help. just go to edit>manage selection sets
or you can just create them by using the little text field in your toolbar. It takes sub-object selections and even object selection its a good way to organize and group things
