I've been searching around the internet and viewing mind-numbing page after page of useless search pages that lead to more search pages that list the same search pages over and over and over.

The only tools I've found that make Planet textures don't create what I want. Scraggle made some a long time ago, and I've used those for placeholders for a while now, but I need to expand on that, and create about 100-150 textures, some with normal and specular maps.

Does anyone know of a tool that can generate planet textures of various types (not just earthlike with land and water), or a website that shows how to make them in various graphics packages?

Found LunarCell from Flaming Pear Software

Turned out to be exactly what I needed. Hope this helps others.

I've used that for a 3D Planet texture and it works great.

Yeah that's a good find. I make mine manually, but it takes hours, and there was no way to explain it without writing a very big tutorial.

It's working great, I'm able to get a Color Map, Bump Map, Specular Map, Cloud Layer Map, and Cloud Bump Map out of it, and when it's all put together in game it should come out looking something like this..

It's an uninhabitable planet with toxic oceans and a red tint to the atmosphere.
