Quote: "Wow mike sounds like you have got quite a production team there! I too got in to gaming with Dark Forces also x-wing was a major foundation to my gaming interests. I didn't know there were other maps for DF. When dark forces 2 came out I used to try and make my own maps for that, I never got any playable maps finished but had a lot of fun with it. I also tried to make maps for Jedi Knight 2. Good times!
My production team is just me, as my daughter is only 3 and my wife doesn't like video games. I don't think it will be long though till my lil one is joining in, she is always on the laptop and she said the other day that wants to build a robot lol."
Yeah my little one tried to model with the mouse in Milkshape the other day. His product looked better than mine
I've been lucky with my kids and wife- they have always been supportive and insist on being a part of my development. Now I have them hooked. Had to buy a third machine just so I could work while they used the others.
Quote: "Ugh, i loved Dark Forces 2, and Mysteries of the sith, awesome games. So many memories from a kid, lol."
I remember DF2, JK2, even Mysteries of the Sith. Then moved to Jedi Academy, even ran a server for a while. Yes, there were maps for DF, DF2, even MOTS. A lot for multiplayer, but some for single play. I have all the DF, JK, JK2, Academy, even Rebel Assault 1 and 2. I load these up once in a while to get some ideas for some levels, mainly in my Sci-Fi game. Amazing how much fun these still bring, and the ideas begin to form.
We had an idea to create Star Trek models, then create a Star Wars vs Star Trek game, just to see what it would look like. Would certainly be fun
Cheers
Mike
