Thanks Keith.
I have realy worked hard on this project to keep the bug count down.
I been running it on my Toshiba Laptop with Win 7 and had no problems. That's why I want to get it out in the open for others to try.

by the way.... how do I post a link to the video demo?

Thanks a million for the complement NickyDude.

I worked hard to get it to this stage and still at it for upgrading.

If you've seen the pre and post build demos the post build has a bit of manual works yet so I hope by Dec. 15th I get the post build feature implemented into the Rc v1 Demo.

I was thinking of going ahead and adding the other .fpi and setuplevel as well into this version but I am a one man developer.

Thanks again

Yes, it's very close! I am sure I will meet the Dec 15th deadline.

I am updating it more and more as we speak. Making it Total Friendly for those who are new to FPSC (and us old guys too).

I have just finished the Auto File Copy to game folder for those Post Build Edits. No more Cut and Paste.

Well....... Thanks for the chat all but it BACK TO WORK!!!!!

Happy Holidays

Question.... Should I include an option for NO AUDIO in the Title/Loading/Won/Over pages? I had 1 request for this option. Would like to know your opinions.

Actually... I would like to know just what you would like to see in the program. Your Ideal Program for Editing Levels/Titles etc...

How about a rubberband box to allow selection of images (buttons) for alignment and/or to be able to drag all selected images (button)

Your app does look very professional and is a needed extension for fpsc.

What about including a splash screen? Or animated menu background? Or buttons which change colour as you hover over them?

Those are a few features which ive thought would be nice.

Splash Screens And Animated Come In the Next RC. As For Mouse Overs....
not so sure It can be done in FPSC Menus.

The Rubber Band Is A Great Idea but I am really not sure if I can do that either because of the Polygon Shaper I use. Maybe A Multi Select will work... Hmmmmmm

Both are good ideas and I'll check into the coding.

The way I am writing this software is so that you need not use 3rd Party Launchers. The code goes with the version your running.

Heres my notes:

I installed the software and it installed where it was surpose to go, which is a great thing.

Opened the software and the message came up as you said which says only three candites will be chosen etc.
It removed the files as you said it would so no drama's.

So that works, to test the software for you I turned my date clock backwards.

I tested every aspect as you requested and everything worked correctly. Even built a menu using your software.

So overall there are no dramas, only thing I suggest is in your instructions tell Vista/Windows 7 users to run it in Administrator mode or it wont work.

Great program and idea, if you need any graphics done let me know, I will do them for you at no cost at all.

I will even host your site for you for free as well if you wish.

TeMpLaR1 and Arenas. I want to thank You Both for helping with install bug issues I had. At midnight tonight (my time) the 10 Day Demo will be posted at the MHPro Site.

Some have asked me through my site why I am only Giving a Title Page Demo and why not the Global Loading Game Won/Over Packages with the Demo???

1st. One step at a time.
2nd. Each Stage will be totally complete for the ease and hassles install and overall creditability of the MHPro Software.
3rd. I hate doing things that make things worse rather than making them better.

So........ It's one step at a time and as each step is completed another Demo with Each Completed Step will be given till the entire project is completed.

To save thread space I will post an Updates Page as to what's comings next on the MHPro site that is more detailed. More so than what you will see here.

I want this Thread Kept alive as long as the project is underway. The last thread (attempt) got locked do to lack of result.(my own fault). I had to leave the country and things got hard.

Anyway....... I'am back... stage 1 is almost complete... and I look forward to the ideas and help you guy\gals give in return and I too will give and do the best I can do with what Programing Skills I have.

Sorry for the long thread(Speech).

A Very Large Thanks to you all.

Merry Christmas!

Just tested the demo and it's an excellent app! I agree that there should be an option for no audio though. I didn't want any on my menu and so had to create a silent ogg file just so I could commit.

Thanks Butt Monkey for the great input on the app. I am working on Setuplevel and Game Menu of the Launcher right now and I do plan on making the no audio an option as we speak. I will add the option to the TPE as well.

Everyone must be busy with shopping for Christmas.

I was truly wishing for more input on this product.

The pupose for this thread was to see if the community was wanting a product such as this and letting me know if I should continue with developing the additional parts. I am almost ready for the release of the GAME MENU EDITOR soon. This is the one Lee Bamber is wanting to see most come to light for the community. But with no input as to your feelings about the product I have no idea if it's what the community wants for a future Bolt One to FPS Creators arsinal. Any comments GOOD or BAD is welcome.

Happy Holidays to you all.

I'm sorry I haven't posted but as you know I have a lot of irons in the fire.

First of all you're not going to get a lot of response from the forums. It can get quite frustrating. But, you have gotten very positive feed-back from the usual gaggle of members. And these are all long time members and know what they're talking about. Except for me of course. BTW, I'm using the 4th definition regarding gaggle.

Merry Christmas Old But Still Kickin from Old And Still Stinkin.

Great work.

Sorry, but this is not what I'm doing right now. At our age, if you don't finish what you started and start doing something else then, you don't ah...

Anyway, I think it's a great idea and well executed. I did try it quickly but got discouraged when I picked a rather large image for one of the buttons and it took the entire screen. Though I watched the video and I'm sure it explained how to get out of that issue, I couldn't find it right away and moved on to something else. I was looking for something obvious to click and didn't see it. Sorry. I'm a real stickler for covering every possible thing someone might do with an app.

Is there a "back" or "reset" button?

This is definitely a needed app and I don't want you to loose interest, but FL is right. You don't always get the interest or input you need to see things through around here. Don't give up. I'll try to have another go at it today and give you some useful feedback.

Brian.

EDIT. After going over the program and video simultaneously, I was able to create a title page with no problems. The only program issue I had was that in Windows 7, I get an Access Denied error when attempting to Preview or commit the page. The error has to be cleared (press OK) seven times and then the operation completes successfully. I have run the program in administrator mode, but still have the issue.

I will email you on some other thoughts not concerning the programs operation.

Brian.

Darn! Darn! Darn it!

I need to revise the Video Demo!

I am not sure up front with out asking but the issue may be caused by the copy command in the program. In the first Demo I tell the user to copy their media into the mhp folder for their project. This process is no longer needed. You no longer need to copy and paste your media into this folder. The program does all this for you. If you select the media inside "this folder now" you will get an Access Denied Error at Preview or Compile time. A file cannot copy itself onto itself again. I guess I need to check my Check For Error scripts again. (if that's the issue in this case).

Thanks greatly for this info. It's something I overlooked due to feeble minde and me being a lone developer with no testers.

Frank,

That was the problem. Using media from outside the MHP folder works fine - no errors. I sent you an email.

Thanks a million Brian!!!

I will make sure in the future that users understand this rule and I will put a lock on the folder so they can't choose media from its location.
