Hi guys, I thought you might want to have a look at what's coming up this month.

All together I will be releasing 3 expansion packs for "Country Time". You should have them all before Christmas, if all goes well.

This is a preview of the new " Country Time Cave Kit". An expansion add-on pack for the Original "Country Time" Model Pack. You dont need the original Country Time to use the Cave Kit, but it is recomended.

Over 30 pieces of cave building media that will let you do this...

More later, C&C always welcome.

In the Universe, nothing ever stays the same.

When are you releasing this one? I would like to add my contribution to it, with maybe some models? Say if you need anything.

Nickydude: Sure is, and it makes the caves come alive. You cant see it in the screen shots, bet there is a raindrop decal scattered across the ground that looks simply amazing when put together.

Red eye: This pack is 99% done. If you have some good stuff you would like to add, drop me an e-mail asap. and I'll check it out. There will be another expansion in the future that will match the cave up with "all" the exsisting Country Time themes.

This one was made to match the "Forest" texture theme. "Desert", and an "Ice Cave" will be added later.

Haha, he could be making bank off of what he does. Sell this man! Earn some money for yourself! Think about it, if it's even just $5, and 20 people buy it...that's $100! Haha.

AaronG: Thanks. HaHa, Brother, I spent that much on model packs and other
FPSC stuff last week.

Yeah, I could sell this stuff. But that's just not me.

Maybe I'll take a donation or two to help pay for all the great stuff I buy from you guys. Just kidding!

Cosmic's stuff is always FREE!

Nickydude: Thanks, All I have left to do on this, is make a manual on how to use the kit.

PW Productions:
Quote: "So, you've never made any cha-ching off of FPSC stuff?"

Nope, not a dime. Never will. The day I start to charge for this stuff, would be the day it would stop being fun, and become work.

In the early days of FP shooters, "Bungie" put out they're classic "Marathon" series of games for the Macintosh. It came with the game tools for editing, and creating your own levels. It was called "Forge".

It was very similar to FPSC as far as the ease of use, as well as a GUI. I was addicted from the start. Back then I would always think to myself;

" Wouldn't it be great if I could make this, or make that for a game." but never could due to the limitations of the engine itself.

With FPSC I can build anything I want, Create any environment you can imagine, and you don't have to be a rocket scientist, or programmer to make it all work.

Of coarse I had to learn to build 3D models instead of sprites which is what the 3d games back then did. But in the end it was totally worth it. My experience in the Graphics Design field helped out a lot. I've only been working in 3D for about a year now, and hope to improve in time.

My point here is: This is something that is fun for me. I get a great amount of pleasure building this stuff, and creating my own game levels, and I don't ever want to risk it turning into a job to earn a buck.

I would rather keep this as my avenue of fun, and entertainment.

So to end this long winded reply, You, and everyone else here, can always count on new media from the Cosmic Prophet, and you will "Never" have to pay a cent for any of it.

All my love to you guys! your old hippie pal, The Cosmic Prophet.

Looks great, Cosmic! One suggestion though would be to start using .dds format or have a simple photoshop action which will tweak the black/white level range to 005-255 so that alpha holes don't appear when .dds are generated by FPSC. I see some of that in one of the cave pics and have spotted it in some previous work as well. Still, looking good

I was thinking along the lines of a cave-in that would block a passage. I'm sure it could be faked with a dust cloud decal and spawning a large boulder/dirt entity. It's just that FPSC physics is so clunky and unpredictable. Multiple rocks falling would probably bounce around like bullets, but certainly never roll.

Brian.

Errant AI: Hey Jake, Yeah. I know. I use Entity workshop, which generates it's own alpha when imported. Naturally all true black goes transparent. So I have to go back and clean up all the alpha channels. It's a real hassel, for sure.

And true, I sometimes miss a few. I'll be going over this one with a fine tooth comb. should be non-problomatic for all your spelunking needs.

Thanks so much Cosmic! I love your excellent talent and generosity! You inspire me, because after seeing you give out all these amazing MP for free without credit, makes me want to be generous. I'd help if I could, but I'm a major amateur at this.

Thanks again!

Cosmic you are the man. I tried getting cliffs into fpscreator but failed miserably due my extreme lazyness.

I hope you are still up for doing a new pack together sometime after the new year, I'd love to do some sort of open community project with you or something.
