Sorry I havn`t been here for a while my moderation duties at www.3d-for-games.com has eaten into my free time quite considerably, Though having said that its really nice to see how some of you guys have improved considerably over the past months, keep it up its nice to see. I have been busy modeling and was asked by a MOD team to make them a model for their 40K Dawn of War mod. Sadly I was limited to just a diffuse texture and couldnt go to town with a nice normal and specular map to make it really banging, Also the poly count was a bit restrictive so I had to miss out on a few details which was a shame but neccessary.

Anyway here goes for the eye candy.

Hope you enjoy.

I give ip with thos baner fing as it never seems to work for me. I woll now stop wasting mu time.

Hey again, nice model and texture, however the shadow lines are too dull and don't make the texture 'pop' enough, maybe add some more contrast there?

I think I have been here since the dawn of time under various user names "NickIgoe" and "BansheeStudios" etc, I remember when DBPro came out,I started with DB original

Yeah agreed I probably rely too much on next-gen techniques nowadays but heyho thats the way the industry is going and to be fair I had to keep the model in keeping with the rest of the MOD.

Cheers guys, glad you like it.

Can I have it?
I would make a space game instead of an airplane one

Also on another note, the texture looks a bit too monotone or desaturated, makes it look a bit boring.

I doubt our join date classes us as oldies. I'd say 1-2 years isn't that old.
Mighty fine model there.

Nearly two years now.

A liitle nostalgia thier, still remember my first model...

More innocent times humph been here two years and only really know a good handful of the many. Seems disconnected. I guess ill jump around more then.

Ohh the seperation lines in the texture could be made more defined. Darker or shadowed more ethier side should help bring it out better.

I agree with the lines but the client wanted more and more dirt, and I had to keep it in keeping with the other models in the game, I actually prefered it before I threw all the dirt at it.

An earlier render from the build

I see what you mean, though in sense it wont be covered entirly in dirt would it? since part would be less seseptable to being hit by stray dust.

who cares what the final render is? You could render this a bazillion different ways, with dirt, smoke, a hot chick sitting on the front end, semi-transparent, etc. The real skill is building the model, and, texturing it properly.
In my very humble opinion, A+.
