Hello,

I seen in the FPS Creator Guide and on forums that invisible segments are good to use on open (outside) levels. My question is, how do i use them and use them effectively because i know i should use them, but i dont know how, thank you so much for your help!!!

if you replace the segments textures with a pure black image then it will make them invisible

I don't see how that would increase performance :S

It doesn't. It just makes it so the player can't run off of the map, or access certains parts of the level.

It actually does because FPSC likes enclosed spaces better than open ones and although it looks like an open space to the player, to FPSC it's enclosed (exactly like a room) and that will help with lag (even if only slightly).

if you use scenery to make sections to block off, then some areas will have less lag. so lets say you have a big circle of planes sitting there. you put them in a box, and you have less lag.
