Or, Happy Hanukkah.

I hope all will take this in the spirit it is given.

Sarcasm duly noted.

Well aye, the only thing I know about Hanukkah is that there's a very annoying song about it which I had to sing back when I was a small child, part of some horrible multicultural performance thing. Still, do try to enjoy it.

I don't think there was any sarcasm intended.

Maybe not, but I notice that whenever someone posts a celebratory thread of a non-Christian nature (Which I suspect the majority of the religious people in this forum are), people assume it will fall into some sort of islamaphobic/anti-semetic slanging match or something.

I didn't mean it to be sarcastic and perhaps that is not the word you wanted to use INH. But you are right in that some people will feel as you said.

This is directed to those who celebrate Hanukkah. And to those who do not but understand its meaning.

I think if something is important enough to you, then you should be allowed to celebrate it, no matter what.

So, from an atheist to the Jewish community, happy Hanukkah
