I am using Vista Home Premium 32 bit with SP2. I am running FPS Creator version 1.0. I downloaded the November upgrade, version 1.16, and installed it. When I tried to run it I got the error message:

\\\"Runtime error 7007 - Mesh does not exist at line 38517. LOAD MESH \\\'editors\\\\gfx\\\\7.x\\\', 200\\\"

What went wrong?

One of your entities has a mesh either missing or in the wrong place. Open up the entities .fpe file (in notepad) and look for:

------------------------------------------------------------------
;orientation

model = path to the .x model, check if this is pointing to the right place
offx = 0
offy = 0
offz = 0
rotx = 0
roty = 0
rotz = 0
------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks Nickydude. I think the problem may be elsewhere; according to the error message, it cannot locate file editors\gfx\7.x. However, I have confirmed that the file exists at that location and works in DXViewer. It also works in my version of FPS Creator.

in the statement LOAD MESH 'editors\gfx\7.x', 200 what does the 200 refer to?

mine did the same when I updated from xp to vista. v1.16 has the cleaner program with it I think. I just ran it and it fixed all my problems. not sure the info will help yours but it worth a try.

Never give up trying. Just try it another way that works for you.

Thanks Nickydude, Hockeykid and Old But Still Kickin for your suggestions. I've reinstalled 1.16, and repaired it but to no avail. So, I've now abandoned it and have installed 1.15 instead, which works ok. I've checked the automatic update, which tells me that the update I have, 1.15.003 is the latest available; I don't know where 1.16 fits into this scenario!

I think there must be a bug in 1.16
