You're saving it before it even has a chance to record anything and you're not using the "stop recording sound" command either so it doesn't even get saved into memory properly. Did you even bother to look at the Usage example?

Have you made sure that the microphone isn't muted? Open the Volume Control, Options, Properties.Then go "Adjust volume for recording" and OK. After that, make sure that the mic is selected. I don't think that it will be the case, but hey, you never know
Otherwise, maybe you have to use the STOP RECORDING command. Try setting a duration for the record sound command.

no rich i didnt look at the example probably because the dbpro example doesnt really explain anything or half of the time doesnt contain the command.
