i have the dbpro trial version for the alienware contest, but i realized that it said "you have 22 days left" 8 days after i downloaded it... but that would only last till october or so, but its sposed to last through the tournament, it this a bug or what?

did you download the Trial Edition or the Alienware Edition?

in otherwords did you download the one linked in the newsletter or from the site?

I installed DBpro standard trial a few months ago, but the Alienware version still reset the trial to 90 days. You must have the wrong version.

Check out Newsletter 8, I assume you must have it for the links to the alien model.
