I've been tinkering with my rendering app for a couple of hours and I have generated a few post-apocalyptic skyboxes that were experimental or just proof-of-concept.

I was thinking about putting up a few of them on the TGS store but Cosmic Prophet is such a generous person I was ashamed to try to profit from something that I could donate instead.

This particular one has six views to create a standard cube in 1024x1024 resolution textures, which results in excellent detail in most 3D applications. I've tried it in Unity but have not dropped it into FPS Creator yet.

I hope with all the upcoming packs that have Post-Apocalyptic themes this will prove useful to somebody. It wasn't exactly the right composition for the game I am working on but otherwise I thought it came out pretty good. Somewhere between Fallout 3 and a kind of comic book feel to it.

Yes, this is very generous of you.

Can we use this for commercial projects too?

This is free for any kind of use. I declare these images public domain. Although a credit is always nice.

It's not a model, it's a skybox. Load all the images appropriately into the Skies program, save it, and there you go.

Great looking skybox by the way man, hope to see more soon!

Cheers

Life would be much easier if I had the source code.

Thanks a bunch! This is just the kind of thing I was looking for! I did have a question, though: Does anyone else have a problem with the 'top' and 'bottom' pieces not matching the tones of the 'front/left/right/back' pieces? I'm not sure if it's a deal with my screen or something. I tried to edit them myself, but I can only get the 'bottom' to match after some contrast/brightness/hue adjustments. The 'top' just won't come together for me. If I am the only one with this issue, it's probably my computer, and I'll just let it be.

This isn't related to the skybox, but in order to keep the record clear: I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't actually created any buildings. There must be another kms with far more talent than me? I'm usually just one of those people who asks annoying questions (like above), but I'm sure wherever the better kms is, the sentiment is appreciated, heh. Also, thanks in advance for your inevitable results.
