If you know how to work with texture layers, this could be helpful,
place the blood image over your texture, see example.,

Texture is 2048x2048. and seamless!!

You are right!! My first idea was to make a town covered with blood, thats why i made the blood texture.
But while building i came to the conclusion, its to much blood!!

Its better to use it on entities, and have one or two blood rooms.
See Example!! (used the same Blood Layer)
