somethings telling me you only looked at the pretty picture. Im sure we gave you advice? what was it... Gah stupid memory, try downloading the trail of max, youll then actually be able to use them. I still dont understand a nesscity like this thread when it would save you most of the time by doing the convert yourself. I dunno ill be awake at about 10:00 i cant stand sleeping. If im ready ill convert them under the condition you ask for permission. Verification will be tiedious so i will try a little faith and get him to convert them anyway.

And I feel quite offended by your post, especially interpreting the first part as sarcasm. Why are people being so mean to me lately...? Maybe it's cause I'm in a bad mood and mistaking everyone's statements as offensive... Sigh...

Well, because by the time you wrote this thread you could already have converted it yourself, or by downloading the trial of max. Then you would be able to convert all your .max models. And the license says that you do not have the right to redistribuete the link or the model ( if I am correct, might misread it ).

Edit: And if you would just stop telling people about your recent post, they would forget or forgive you. Right now you just keep telling everyone that you did that and it gets kinda anoying.

Jeez, sorry. According to the Max license, I'm not allowed to export MAX files and use them... Also, the agreement for the gun did NOT say that I'm not allowed to redistribute the link; it said that redistributing the model is not allowed. Also, about that recent post as you called it, I felt very stupid about it, so I tried to apologize, which doesn't necessarily seem to be working. But I'll try not to flame...

I'm not essentially sure of how I would go about getting written permission via e-mail. If someone could guide me, I'd be most appreciative

When you read that, something in your head should say, 'hmm...that sounds really really stupid, I better reread that"

The license says you cannot distribute the model without the permission of the author, and without providing a link back to the source (that page).

He shouldn't need to ask for permission to have the model converted. The license is just to prevent people from taking credit for it / making money, etc. from it. He's not distributing the model - he provided the source link, and you wouldn't be distributing it back - he already has the model and knows the source. But IANAL, so I could be mistaken.

(Though it looks like he would need permission to use it in a game, unless a game is considered a 'video or picture rendering' production.)

I think I should start getting my previous modeling skills replaced with better ones. I do not need this thread anymore, and will most likely not need the model...
