Dark GDK / Function names differ from the docs to reality

Hello everyone. I'm getting 4 errors in compiling a DarkGDK application, wich basically says the functions are missing. How are they actually named?
See the compilation log (in italian, sorry) in this

Try leaving out the $.
dbStr() etc..

Yes, get rid of the $.
And you can always look up function names in your DarkGDK header files in the Dark GDK\Include folder.

Now the plot thickens, the fps decreases, and the awesomeness goes through the roof.

However, I'm finally able to compile the project with just 4 warnings.

The docs appear to have been modified from the docs for DarkBasic. Apparently the editing wasn't quite as fastidious as one might hope. BASIC generally uses $ to indicate a string is involved. It just didn't get edited out in the DGDK docs.

This is an old issue - There are also instances where the case is wrong and there are functions available not even in the docs I have (which might be dated).

the best thing to do is scour the darkgdk header files and search for stuff to keep your sanity in check

We also have a new game engine, one fella got 1000 FPS (Windows 7 64bit) using it with PhysX and DirectX running the demo "level" (programmer graphics lol) that David put together for character controller testing: http://www.jegas.com/index.php/jegas-products/192-c17-directx-game-engine.html

We've been pretty busy, that game engine is a year of work. And Knot So was literally made because when David was hunting for a tool - the stuff out there cost either in excess of $100.00 (Crazy Bump is almost double that I think) or they didn't work how he wanted - something about depth and not wanting to fuss with each texture manually

Heh! When I saw the box graphic I though immediately of Celtic knots. I've always wanted to write a program that could generate Celtic knots and draw them graphically into an image. Now that I'm getting the hang of the graphics that might not be a bad thing to try soon.

I took up violin; and I've been playing about two months now and I am playing some music that sounds Celtic! "Lilty Stuff" Some classical.. some gypsy sounding stuff... even blues (on a violin? sounds neat)
