How do I change the ambient lighting of any given level so that clicking on Test Level will show the amount of ambient lighting that I require?

I know these variables can be altered when you Build a game but I don’t want to do a complete Build every time I want to test what my level looks like.

I’m sort of perplexed as to how this is done. For instance, if I add one of the default Prefabs such as “Science Lab”, by default I’m provided a fully lit room when I click on Test Level.

However, if I were to choose Cellar Small, clicking on Test Level will produce a room that is completely dark. Sure, I can add lighting, but I was wondering if there was a way to provide the amount of default lighting that I wanted when testing any given level.

In Test Game you can use the keys < and > to manually change the ambience, but this will not be permanent.

To change the ambience of the entire game go to File>Build Game>Level Settings>Click Edit on Global Script>and change the Ambience level.

To adjust it per level, use the script below in a trigger zone:

:state=0:ambience=x,ambiencered=x,ambiencegreen=x,ambienceblue=x

Change the x's to fit your needs. Ambience can be set from 0-100, and the rest are 0-255.

Marc, thanks so much for that. That clears up a lot of things. Thanks!
