Wow, yeah, that thing should have A LOT less poly's. Something is goofy with the smoothing group too. It could just be the lighting though.

yea, it is too high poly. i used the lathe tool on a outline of half the pawn. it seems this method will only work with pawns anyway

would it be possible for a mod to delete this thread? it won't go the way i planned...

AHH cool! small world, well anyways, the best way to lower the poly count is to lower lower the segs after making the lathe


Also plan to have more up sometime today, so stay tuned

Edit: also if you wuna fix those blocky parts, just work with the fillet a little more

im uploading the 3 new videos now they take about an hour each to upload but you should see the first one up here with the next 30 mins
