Hey guys, I have been working on this Nazi Zombie for my ZS games, and I want some C&c for him before I map and texture him

Thanks the hands are going to have fingers painted on them,that way there is not unneccesarry polies
And I fixed the shoes to look like boots, I will post up an updated pic after my sister and I do the dishes

one the up side for your 1st ever character its a relatively nice start

c&c wise....
your guna want to work on your propositional skills, his chest looks a little like breasts and the turbosmooth made for flipped polys on the end of the shirt and pants. He seems to have no fingers and stumps for feet....

it takes time to learn but its worth it

H=Gave him real fingers, and a split down the coat

fingers arnt bad, but that skirt thing is messed up now, i would suggest redoing it, also the split down the coat doesn't look to great.
the boots are looking nice but what you need to do now is shap them a little, look at reel boots or your feet for that matter, they dont slop down like your do. Lastly the chest and torso need to be widder, they are to flat.

The split down the coat-should I redo it or rmove it? Because I think it adds a nice touch

you see how it looks darker then the rest of the mesh, thats because somewhere on there there are polygons that are flipped over, when you texture this is wont look good.

Maybe thats why he doesnt look like a zombie?
A mod can lock this as it is clearly going to turn innapropriate.

it doesnt look like it has boobs, not the textured verson.

also, if u wish it to look more zombie like i suggest u add more tear and wear and more blood to the texture.

though, it looks like a nice soldier =P

The hands look really nice, the shoes look alot better, but the head looks a little too big for the body.

So how's the texture going to look? Gray skin or green skin?

I would first of all learn how to model neat [u know what quads / tris/ hexagons are?. The uvmap is good but not good enough as u have bits and bytes that could be attached to other big things, so u have more space.

Well i wont say anything about the character as i know that this is ur first character model.

About texturing, i gues that is ur first too. Although some parts are well made, others are just noisy and not really a texture. Maybe look up some paint.net tutorials (if that is what u are using) or gimp texture tutorials (gimp is pretty good too), although photoshop is the best for texturing (well everyone has his own skillzz and uses what he wants, although wings 3d is not really the program to start with).

Back the model... U have to take comments from others when they say that polys are flipped, or that smoothing groups are bad made. That last thing is probably the reason they are black. So i would take that into consideration.

EDIT: U need to know when using loads of polygons, the hands are okay, but the arms that is really polygonish...

What are smoothing groups? In wings3d you can smooth things but I dont see anything about smoothing groups
