I have recently begun checking out the arena aspect of FPSC. I was shocked to see that most of the features that are in the single player game, do not work. No active enities, no exploding barrels, no grenades! Is there a way around this problem? Grenades, I think are the most important. Kraven and hockeykid's random weapon locker would be awesome in multi player! Do any of the mods address this problem? Can I use dark basic to work on this problem? Where would I find the files that set these restrictions?
I think FPSC could really shine in the multi player fps scene, but with these restrictions it's like a wounded duck. I understand the concern about framerate, but should we not be able to decide for ourselves.

Grenades don't work because flak does not work in arena games. If you try to throw a grenade or shoot a rocket, your game will crash. Dynamic entities in general (excluding weapons, and etc) DO NOT work in multiplayer either. So the weapons chest will not work. No current mod addresses these problems to my knowledge, though FPSC IP allows you to have a lobby system, as well as up to 1,000 maps to chose from in a single game.

Yes, you can use DB Pro to create your own mod (it comes with the source to FPS Creator), and take a shot at adding these features yourself, but other than that, you're limited to picking up weapons and ammo, and shooting other players.

Thanks kravenwolf for the reply, even though it is crushing news. I am a total dark basic newbie, so trying to create a mod like this is waaayyy beyond my skills. I guess I'll just crawl back into the dark shadowy corner from whence I came.

It is possible to have dynamic entities in multiplayer such as crates if you build your game in single player and then switch to arena mode (but make sure they are immobile).
