Hi everyone. I'm a complete noob with this program so forgive me if this is a problem thats really easily solved.

Basically I've installed the program (FPSC) and bought a few model packs for it. I've installed the packs using the included installers. Everything loads OK and the model packs are included in the relevant libraries when i create levels. However when i test the level all I get is a plain grey area with a skybox and nothing else. No entitys are in the level at all. Then when i exit the test the program has deleted EVERYTHING from the map editor. Not only that but all the items and prefabs are now missing from the library tab and have to be found in the subdirectories again.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Dan

Doesn't sound like anything I've heard of :S Try installing the latest update (V1.16). If that doesn't work, try reinstalling.

I remember seeing a thread like this a few months ago. I think (don't quote me on this) that you need to change a setting in setup.ini. Try setting usefloor to 0 (if it is set to one). Good luck resolving this issue.

Unhelpful Titles

Please do not simply write "Noob Question", "I am a newb", "One Noobie Question", "A question", "Please help", "This isn't working" or anything similar as the title of your post. We have a search facility, and meaningless titles do not help others find answers to their questions. It will also help you to get quicker responses if people have an idea of your thread content.

Do you have shaders turned on. Did you change the preferences/build settings? Did it do this from the very first, or after a change, install, or upgrade?

Please provide some info about your system, especially OS, video adapter, CPU and Memory.

Sorry. I thought it was pertinent to the issue. I din't know what else to put as I don't know what the issue I have is called. Is there a way I can change the title to make it more relevant? Sorry again.

I've also attached my dxdiag results.

I noticed your using the transparent theme in Vista. Try switching your display theme to basic. Vista Auro does funny things to graphics sometimes.

Never give up trying. Just try it another way that works for you.

It could have something to do with the onboard graphics. Is it the Radeon 3200? How much memory does it have available?

Brian.
