As you know I am in process of attempting to make a "sniper" game but still dont understand much about what it takes to create a new feature... so maybe this request is a little "naive" but anyhow there it is :

Feature : In the game (Sniper, Art of Victory) when you hit a "head shot" there is a "slow motion camera" showing the bullet leaving the gun barrel..... traveling toward the target.... and penetrating the head.

I would like to know if anyone could create this feature...?
If not I could contact the creator of Sniper, Art of Victory and try to get it from him.... but I need to know what type of "coding" you would need to make it work with FPSC...?

You should be able to download for free: Sniper, Art of Victory there :

ah, you mean like in brothers in arms : Hells Highway

thing is though, fpsc doesn't use bullets, its like a laser beam you shoot out so its not really possible.

It's possible with an FPSC-source edit and it would be very simple to code as well.

It is very interesting how diverse and totally opposite the replies are.... somes of you says "impossible" and others says " no big deal".... if it is not too much asking it could be interesting if each one would develop their opinion and explain in details why they have made this statement

I have listed there a few links allowing you to download for free the 2 only games that I know have this feature... if anyone knows of others please mention it and give us a link

Also I have included a couple links with videos of the feature :

Download for free Sniper, Art of Victory

It's possible, you'd need a simple calculation to see whether you've actually made a headshot before it hits the target.(Raycasting for the win), then when it does you'll need to calculate the distance path the camera will have to travel, switch to this camera make a flak-like object appear(the bullet in this case) and make it travel along the raycasted path and slow down the rest of the game around you(easier to do when you use a timer based system with a speed multiplyer, e.g. you set everything's speed like timer*(BaseSpeedMultiplyer+TimeMultiplyer).. Now when you do that you just need to make the camera follow that object(which is simple since Dark Basic Pro has a command to do that, I mean how awesome is that?) and tadaa! You've got a super awesome headshot effect.

So yes, it IS possible.. And could be done without too much of a heavy edit compared to some ideas people come up with at times.

For who ever makes the code, would they be able to post it here? I reckon that it would make a good kill cam modification for multiplayer

You could script for the camera to travel the path of the bullet. (I know there are no bullets dont flame me lol). You could find a way though.
