I noticed that most of these textures (if not all of them) are not seamless, some look like they're from DarkMATTER.

Actually, they should all be seamless (at least horizontaly, some may not be vertically). All the textures are completely original. Most of em are Las6's, although myself and a couple other users have submitted some stuff.

...and This is what I get from coming to apollo.

First of all, all the normal Textures are fully seamless. There are few special ones, mainly for particle use. But I'd say that 95% are seamless. Out of that there are few textures that are seamless only horizontally or vertically, but still the most of the textures are fully seamless. if you find something that's not, please report it to the author.

As for the DarkMATTER subject, I think you meant that as an Insult rather than anything positive. Well, have to break it to you, but these textures are completely original. Mostly mine (~86%), but there are also some textures from people like Esc and Froggermon. Also, you didn't probably know that froggermon has done textures for the darkMATTER too, so no wonder that they might be similar in style or looks.

[sarcasm]but it's always nice to know that your efforts are appreciated this much.[/sarcasm]

... now why did I even bother to come here?

Yes, we are not all heartless morons! I really like the site and may use a few of your images in my alien compo entry.

I don't believe Arrow was intentionally being negative, it's just the way he words things.

Had to reply, because I've just browsed through all the 256 textures on the site while testing them out. (windows background /tile-repeat works fine for that) And I couldn't find more than 6 textures that could be improved (when it comes to seamlessness). Two of the textures were just lacking the notice of being only horizontally seamless. Others had minor errors, perhaps small remnants of offset or something like it. Funny thing is, I didn't find a single texture that wouldn't be seamless at all.
But if you do, please report it to me.

after this, I have hard time believing that it was just constructive criticism.

I did a real quick veiw last time, my mistake. I guess the reason I assumed some of them weren't seamless was cuz I only looked the thumbnail for most of them, and the ones a did look at I mistook as photographs. Sorry if I sounded agressive, I'm blunt and quick to the point (esspecailly when I'm in a hurry). There are quite a few noobs that'll show up for a few days, post something and leave, forgive me for thinking you were one of them.

Still the first place I come when looking for textures, keep up the great work Lassix.

Ohh, the wood bark texture with the brown mold patches you said you'd like to see used somewhere... I'm using it for a rocky river bed .

Very nice site, las6. Just wondering what the copyright issues are for these, as when I quickly glanced through the site, I didnt find any notices about what we can and cant do with them.
Also, will you be adding skybox textures, cos my own attempts at making one have been futile

Kudo's to you for your site

Cheers,
Kentaree

Check the FAQ on the site. There you should find all the Copyright stuff.

Very nice site and textures. I used some of the explosion ones for my game.

Keep up the good work.
