you should be modeling one object. it looks like you made a lot of shapes and put them in a way that it makes a car. what you should be doing is making one editable object. now somethings should be separate say the wheels, it really depends on what your making and what your making it for.

you should look up a few tutorials. it will help greatly.

General Jackson: For example me,I got a student license in school.

The car is too boxy, learn poly modelling, dont make the tires like that, make a tube then slightly chamfer the edges.

so, you wanted a go at modeling so you go and buy a $3,500 program not even knowing if you'll want to do modeling? you must be rich.

i like the ice cream!

Pretty good for a beginner, I use Blender and when I go on 3ds max, the best I can do is make a box.

the problem is the modifiers its quite challenging at the start more figuring out what everything does then modeling with it. if your gonna start on max then your gonna need a few intro tutorials.

Suprisingly its not, in fact easier, it took me quicker to learn blender then it did 3ds max, all you got to do is just learn the quick keys and then your set.

Well, 3ds max is pretty much just as easy, you just need to know how to add modifiers and then yo can model pretty much anything with just a few clicks.
