How can I do this?
Is it possible to define a rotation center for an object
or do I have to calculate it manually? How?

Help is greatly appreciated...

Now the plot thickens, the fps decreases, and the awesomeness goes through the roof.

It depends what kind of rotation you need, a simple approach is to offset your object's limb 0, or you could position your object at your point, rotate it, then move it by the distance required.

Thanks.
The idea with offset a limb sounds promising!
Let's say I have a simple box. The box itself is limb 0 then. Should I offset this limb 0 to the rotation point and then dbRotateLimb ?

Now the plot thickens, the fps decreases, and the awesomeness goes through the roof.

No, just offset limb 0 and rotate the object normally.
