Hi there, I've a very important question about FPSC.

I'm using 1.16 FPSC with the Fenix Mod,
and I want to create an "investigation game" with a single map.
The only problem is the map size, look at this

Can I recreate that big thing with FPSC ?

Smart scripting can do it, but if you dont have any excperience with it i suggest to get RPG mod or fenix which is now merging with it. (typo in there)

All of that in one map? I'm using the max that 1.16 offers for a RPG demo (40x40). It is all outdoors. So far I have 5 characters. In my mod I allow for up to 54 fps. However, this is not the best way to speed up games. At around 45 fps it is jerky and therefore I put it down to 38 fps. It is smooth. In some areas there is a lag of 30 fps.

You will not be able to get all of what you have shown into a 40x40 map. Unless someone releases a mod that allows for larger maps you are really going to have to break this down into more than one map level. And if there is something out there with larger maps, I'm not sure how well it will work. Perhaps a timer-based system to increase speed and smooth things out would help but I'm not sure.

Not all of it as it looks too big for FPSC's 40x40 grid, may be a smaller road system with a few buildings around the edge but yes, it can be done. (and I apologise for this ) Take a look here: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=160369&b=25.

Edit: If the map size was extended considerably then yes, it would be possible.

Hi, I've another question, once again...

Did someone knows the good "FPSC scale" for these maps (From GTA 2) ?

White: Buildings
Grey: Sidewalk
Green: Grass
Blue: Water

Thanks !

sidewalk=1 segment
road=2 or 4 segments
buildings= can be entities.

most of the lower map would fit starting at the bottom sidewalk. width wise, however you'd need to cut it up or compress it a bit. make all the roads thinner and it'll fit in FPSC for sure.

to fenix mod!
