Hi,
a while back I started coding a backup system for FPSCreator. I got pretty far into my project, and had release BETAs; when other things took priority, and I ditched the project.

I've now started from scratch and have produced working application (all info below).

Download BETA Version

What is Backup FPSC?
Backup FPSC allows you to backup all your FPSCreator media and maps automatically and efficiently, via the use of a sturdy and easy to use interface.

Key Features
Backup Compiler
Backup Decompiler
Automatic Updates (coded, but not implemented)
Advanced Settings - For all us control freaks!

Suggested Features
File Compression

Screenshots

System Requirements
Microsoft Windows: XP SP2 / Vista / 7
Microsoft .Net Framework (V3.0 recommended)

Please Note
This IS a BETA version, so I cannot guarantee that this program will function properly (but it should). On the other hand, if you've got any ideas that I might implement then post em' up!

Give It a Try
if your interested in giving it a whiz and trying to find some bugs then click here to download the BETA installer of the program. You'll earn yourself a place in the credits if you e-mail me or submit a bug.

ICON CONTEST!!!

Create a logo/icon of minimum resolution 512*512 and submit it below, to win a FULL copy of Backup FPSC, Simples...tch..tch

@ JRH

Received an error when trying to create a backup. The error is as follows:

The error occurs because my path is different than the default. May be a good idea if we can "specify" our FPS Creator path in the settings for those of us that go "against" the current

Cheers

Mike

Thanks so far guys.

@BlackFox:-
Good thinking, I've added this feature in, just run the installer again and it'll patch up (no need to redownload )

I have a backup system in place, and FPS Creator is one of the folders in the list, so it's not something I would need but here's my icon.

Nice icons so far

Update
-Recompiled under older version of .Net (2.0) for greater compatibility
-Attempted to fix 'Create' button error...
-Added temporary icon to fix icon errors (official will be judged at the end of the day)

I was thinking, I've got a few choices for what I could do with this program;
-Sell It
-Release it free
-License it to someone who can sell it better

If I were to sell it, how much for? I need the opinion of BETA testers.

Thanks
