Hi, I\'ve got several meshes that I made in Wings3D. I\'ve tried to texture them in Wings and have had ...depressing results. I know how to do it, but to go from a uv map to a nice image is beyond me.

Can anyone document the texturing process using freely avalable tools? I\'ve attached some of my meshes.

I have Truespace(Don\'t know how to use), Blender(Can model but not texture), LithUnwrap(Never had a chance to use).

Thanks

Unfortunatly nearly all programs use th UV mapping system. i know how you feel, i used to hate it but once you get used to it you relise its potential. You you want something to just apply a texture to a face, then i think 3d canvas can, i also think there is a free version of it somwhere.

Ultimate Unwrap 3d is superb too.
Not free.
But not expensive.
