Thank you for the complements. I will eventually crease the blade and add smoothness to parts of it. Currently it is rendered in poly mode. I plan on working on it more, if you want, I can post the sketch of it on Monday. (I am at my dad's, and the sketch is at home.)

As promised, here is the wire.

(Sword only.)

Currently, I am working on render quality, not poly count, but to ease curiosity, the poly count is currently 385.

Here is a recent render, render size brought down to decrease render speed. I sharpened the blade part, and I added part of the cylinder.

I will post the concept if anyone is interested.

* Apologizes for triple post*

Here is the current wire with concept art. I did not draw the concept art, my friend did and he asked me to make a model of it, so I did.

Very very nice.

I have been following this model since you posted. The latest renders are really promising and the concept art is very clean.

cant wait to see this finished.#

Thanks Lazerus.

I believe I have improved a bit since my last model posts here.

My current plan for this model:

1) Finish the base mesh.
2) Optimize to Sub-divide it.
3) Texture.
4) Make a low poly version and bake it.

I am not guaranteeing quality, I suck at texturing still, never truly worked in a lot of Sub-D's, and never baked before. I am hoping this model will teach me a lot in those areas..
