I'm new here so sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I recently bought a new laptop, a compaq presario CQ60 with 4 gigs of ram, nvidea geforce 8200m graphics with 1.8 gigs of memory (shared I think) and an AMD athlon x2 64 bit processor. I installed windows 7 professional 64-bit on it with no problems but when I try to run fps creator on it my level gets cleared and all I can see is the skybox. I fall to my death and spawn again only for the same thing to happen. If I try to view the debug visuals I go back to the editor and when I exit the preview level I return to an empty level or one with just ground segments as floors and ceilings. Even if I save the level before the test and re open it afterwards without saving, the level is messed up with the same problems. I can play FPSC games without any problems (one I made with my old windows 2000 computer works well) but can't test or build levels.

I have the latest drivers for my graphics card and have tried running in compatibility mode for xp and 2000 but I get the 0:0 error.

Anyone know what's happening or how I can fix it?

Thanks
The Zoq2

I had something like that on my windows7 comp, but i coult not test game and when i saved the only thing that apeared was a hmwee and the some ground segments. I think it was a corupted file because a have lots of copies of fps creator(diffirent mods) so i copied the original fpsc and ran, it worked but when i cpied my files folder from the not workin mod it crashed.

Zdrasvuiteh comrade! when on windows 7 right click the FPSC icon and click "Compatibility mode" select Windows xp svp 3. Once done don't run the program yet, right click again and run as administrator even if you already are. ALSO what did you place your player start marker on? if it is a static entity instead of a segment this will happen. Try placing your player start marker somewhere on a segment. If this is not the problem send another message here and I will take a look. Please note however FPSC x9 was not made to run on windows 7

To Josh GTAM
Hi my name is Jeramie Carrell aka A3dartist.com
I have Win 7 32bit and it works fine! You have to set your settings to run as admin and windows Vista to do this you need to right click the fps logo on the desktop and go to properties and then compatability mode under this click the admin button and then change to use win Vista that should help as well shut down sys and reboot should work fine before or after you do this.!

Thanks for the help guys, I tried the settings you suggested and it works. A bit of lag in the builder and when I press tab for debug visuals the whole thing messes up and I get the 0:0 error but still better than nothing.
