Has anyone had any luck getting DarkGDK setup on Windows 7?
I'm having a bit of trouble and while it appears to succesfully install none of the Wizards show up for me in the New Projects.
If you have had any luck, please post what steps you had to take to get this working.
Thanks.

em..
i think it was just:
1- run MSVC++ installer
2- run MSVC++
3- run directX SDK aug 2007 installer
4- extract DarkGDK
5- install DarkGDK from the extraction directory

That's the funny thing. I did the exact same thing and can't get any of the Wizards to show up.

Did you install to a different directory for VC++ or is it set to the default Program Files x86?

I guess I might have this figured out. Having read through the forums my mistake is that I had changed the locations of all my profile folders to another drive on my machine. Granted that shouldn't have caused a lot of this to have occured.
So now I need to re-think my strategy of storage on my machine in order to get all of this working.

Ok, I got this fixed. What ended up happening is that when I setup my profile, I choose to move my profile folders to a different folder on a different drive. Well with Dark GDK this doesn't work.
So what I ended up having to do was re-create my profile and follow the normal install process. Everything works fine.
May want to put that information in the install process.
