Hi

I'm totally new to the GDK and yesterday I read in a tutorial about three different map editors to create 3D worlds.

1. 3D World Sudio
I've downloaded the trial version

2. T.ED V5.2 TGC Terrain Editor
I've downloaded this one as well and tested it a bit. I like it but is there an easy way to create buildings with it?

3. FPS
Haven't spent time on testing this one yet.

I'm not sure which of these three editors I should use. Im not a professional graphics designer, but I could gain pretty much programing experience during the last years.

Could someone help me out a little here witch some hints and recommendations? I don't quite get the advantages and disadvantages each tool offers.

1. 3D World Sudio : Can't comment, don't have it.

2. T.ED V5.2 TGC Terrain Editor: This isn't for making buildings, just for landscapes. You can import buildings to it and anyother models you like, just to see how they look on the landscape.

3. FPS : ?? do you mean FPSC? If so this is a good way of building a level with the provided entitys then you can build the level then use that in DarkGDK. You can even use the free version to do it. Lee has done a video tutorial on how to do this somewhere on this web site I think.

@User
This Editor looks pretty cool. I'll spend some time on testing it. Is this one suitable to create landscapes as well?

@zaphos
Yeah, I meant FPSC, sorry about that. I'll check out the free version. Looks like one could create great game levels with it.

Thx for your answers!
