downloading now.

antivir found a virus on media fire but I'll take my chances to see the awesome demo map.

edit- played it. the graphics were technically great, but it made everything look really bumpy, like it was normal mapped to death. it ran at a great frame rate on even my pc, and lastly it had to work on it's collision. otherwise good job.

I agree, though I'm not sure I want to forgo my scripting powers just for good graphics. Also, the shadows didn't work when I was far away from the light. But overall, nice job. Shame there was no water or refraction in the demo.

Also, for the Evolved shaders, are those allowed to be used commercially? Because if they can't, this would only be a non-commercial mod, and that'd be a shame.

Evolved shaders its possible to use Commercial and The shadows not appear in long distances because this can render 50 lights but 8 only with shadows (Limit).

wow, 50 lights... incredible.

even with that 8 lights can produce shadows limit, thats a pretty good number. plus if you use auto doors to seal off different places, it will work out nicly.

will try this mod out when i go to my dads house on sunday.

so I tested the new version and there are some things which are not really good.

The Directional Light does not update if I turn the sky and tod on. The LightRays move with a "second" sun but there are no shadows or anything. That was something I had before, you have to hide all objects like gun etc to fix this.

The other thing is that the bloom is terrible. Pls increase the image size of the bloom or give us a command to do this. It looks not very nice.

Also the water is somehow a bit weird but nothing bad exactly.
The other things are looking good.

You can't have the skybox normal and the ToD on, you can use the ToD or Skybox

if your select this you have 2 Sun Lights (Skybox=static) and (ToD=dynamic) and the render torned corrupt.

The new Evolved shader not have much quality if you use this in a close ambient, Try in a outdoor map.

The Mod is really good! Although tone the bloom WAY down and the motion blur doesn't really look like motion blue it just takes a frame and seems to slowly fade it out I was thinking of motion blur like this:



Although that's just me, also how am I able to see the water, make it level.

Yes, I need change the glow.fx and the motion blur for some changes.

News:
25-30 fps constants in metro theatre level.
Other LoD system, not yet apply.

I work now because I have time, I decide play other games too

Also, what really is this other than Canox Mod with some new shaders? What did you add? Code-wise?

He is not cranox mod, Cranox mod was have other older shaders and older source code. you can view the differences than default.
and yes, the mod have motion blur.

I mean, what code did you add to Cranox mod? I know you have lots of cool new shaders, and I can tell a difference from stock FPSC, but what did you add to Cranox Mod? As in, DBPro-wise?

Refraction, render, other water, changes on some lines, auto resolution, more frame rate, and much more. Sry I can't remmember all features and things, but the difference its much.

Well, you should say that you mostly have just added the newer version of Evolveds Advanced Lighting.
It wasn't out whenn I released CorVus Mod as a Open Source Mod! ^^

hi,
i look for the entire forum but i can't find this stupid answer..
where should i put the file into the xara mod??expecialy the SCFI (Xara Mod)efx .exe and the FPSC-Game.exe..
this also for the EFX MOd by helix europa..i download it and it contains only the .exe file and the readme..
I try to put all the file of XaraMod on the mainfolder and ocerlay it but when i run fpsc test level it crash!!
What should i do??

You need use nonormal.tga, noheight.tga, folders: media and shaders. Paste this and the .exe file in your games for use


Recent update:


Xara mod and all things work in 117 source code (lastest from google code).

Compiled in hour ago and work.

use the command tod=1 for use tod system and skybox=1 for use skybox static.

You can use tod or skybox not two at the time

ehm... thats a bug I told you about, like 2 months ago and I also got this. The chars work also in Corvus xD

Wow! They even look better than X10's because they don't have the strange outline surrounding the character.

How about make a download of just the mod without the demo and maby a simple install manual.
I have no prob with PB or fenix.But carnt figure this from the demo.Totally lost.
You know simple mod and manual (just install instructions)no demo that makes it confusing.

It could probably, I did A cubemap test in Source SDK that has familiar shaders to that, I attached a screenie of it, I would probably say xara mod has better graphics then the orange box engine

Windows 7, Amd Athlon 7750 Black Editon (64 bit,3ghz + Dual Core), ATI Readon HD 4870 1gb Edition, 4gb Ram.

Played the demo.
And I have something to say about the motion blur.
I mean when you turn your head in real life it doesn't blur your sight.And it gets annoying after a while as well as cutting the frame-rate in half.
So it would be cool if you made like an option to turn off the motion blur or just delete it from the mod.

Has the issue with characters jumping been resolved yet?

Am really looking forward to trying out a new release with all the bug fixes.

1st mod to include dynamic shadows for characters could be at stake here.

Are you gunna put the TOD and sky back in ? I tested an outside map and all I got with the skybox was bluring from the objects that overlayed the sky

EDIT :

Also, is the segment shaders automatic if you add the Normal and Specular maps with the segment texture ?

Bugs :

Camera is very jolty
Gun animations are way to fast, EAI's G36C reload was over in seconds.
AI bounce
Flashlight projects players weapon shadow
Flashlight is not center
If you have a shader with an effect on with the "Full shaders effect" optiuon on then the game will crash
There is no timer system (Uncapped Framerate)
Static lights act as a ambience and do not cast shadows
Stuff like hurt Hud is 2x smaller then it should be
