i have been down a computer due to some motherboard issues, its being repaired and it'll be back next week. since then i've been doing none to no modeling, but to try and get back into it for when my computer arrives i decided to make a human base that I'll use for zbrush.

heres my progress, gotta do the hands and the head, some of the proportions are exagerated so that when i go into z brush it'll be easier to subdivide, and sculpt.

tell me what you think

the upper arms look rather odd. they seem to be missing all muscle structure and are completely flat.

and could you provide a back/side view from that angle it looks like you gave the back to much of a curve but that could very well just be the angle.

The torso looks quite off too, it seems too thin front ways, and doesnt have enough curvature from the side.

thanks guys, i've made an update in the hope this'll work, it'll still be a base so it doesn't matter how accurate some of it is.

Nice, how many poly's are in that model?

also, is it only me or the arms are a bit tall?

thanks

hassan@
I've purposefully made the arms slightly larger as an aid for when i get it into z brush and start working on the hands, and arms, unfortunately i can't access blender and therefore can't tell you what the poly count is, but each hand is about 700, the feet are probably 900 toghether and finally the rest is about 1200 so i think its about 3000+ polies

That looks alright. I may be repeating what everyone else is mentioning, but I think it does lack a lot of muscle definition. The body, from the wireframe you showed, doesn't seem like it would be 1,200 polys though. =]

I'd lengthen the legs a little bit as well.

Thats why its a base mesh, you sculpt any definition onto it.

Cant believe i didnt notice, but you have some triangles hanging around there, sure that that is gunna turbo ok?

turbo? if you mean work in zbrush then yes it will, my plan is to make rough high poly models and retapologise it, removing the triangles

@8bittonberry
i said it was 3000+ in total

Feet are a bit small, other than that nice start.
