I just made a simple BAR and I wish to texture it. I used unwrap 3D pro and got this .bmp file(attached). Am I really just suppose to color it in? It seems really difficult to color it in. Is there a more simpler way?

P.S. I also want to know how to animate, but fragmotion is just way to difficult for me. I look at so many tutorials but they don't work for me.
Help ME ! ! !

hmmm..actually there is so much way to texture that.in my suggestion use 3ds max for model making, unwrap and animation. for texturing u can use mudbox, deep pain 3d(difficult) or any kind of texturing software where u can directly pain on models,it would be easy way to do that. but if u like u can texture it by photoshop(hand painted) also.
for animation also i recommend u 3ds max.actually u know if u know 3ds max basic concept then u can make whatever u want.so please if u don't know the basic search for some basic tut.i just want to give u a last tip, that is if u r using any on model painting software,in 3ds max unwrap use flattern mapping.it'll divided all texture unwrap to so many pieces.so u don't have to unwrap it .
wise u good luck

Thanks for the help, but one major problem. I don't have $3500 on me to spare.

Seriously?

Devastaor,

Unwrapping a model starts with making it. You have to consider how you want to paint the model as you make it, so the first thing you need to do is separate your model into groups. (stock, receiver, grip, magazine, etc) Then when you unwrap it, you can select "box" as the method and "seperate by groups" as an option. From there, you position each group (part) and unwrap it so you can see and paint every face of every part.

Well... before I made this post, I already made the model and it was separated into groups. I forgot to mention that I have the demo version of Ultimate Unwrap3D Pro, so I do not have the option of selecting a group. Is there any that you know of?

I use LithUnwrap. It's free. Just Google it.
