Hello,

i got a question about 3Ds max and Fpsc.
i want two textures(or more) in my model but not on the same object like if i make a pilar with white Sphere on it (just for exaple)]
and i want to make the pilar (Metal textured) and the sphere i want (white from a picture of a wall) and i want it bolth in the same texture (.bmp) becuase 'MakeentitiesfromXfiles' only say one texture:
Texture name: Metal.bmp
not like two textures metal.bmp and like whitewall.bmp
For now i'm stuck.

what you're looking for is UV mapping. It's the process of unwrapping all the polygons on the object into a single image that you can put textures onto. I'd suggest downloading Lithunwrap and looking for a very useful tutorial that was posted on TGC a while back

A render to texture shortcut > select object > 0.
