Question For Advanced And Long Time Users Of FPSC...

I've played alot of FPS games over the past year or so.

And by me using the demo for a two days [gonna buy it reason soon]
just getting a feel for the program.

But here my questions but let me explain what I know so far and what I did in building test maps/games as my learning curve.

I made about 10-20 practice/test maps in a few hours
not big just to get a few of what I can do by just starting.

01. I made several rooms here and there
02. Start of off with the mp40
03. Start of off with the character marker
04. Add enemies here and there
05. Add ammo here and there

Sorry I hit the wrong button and it posted...

But the question is

01. Where is the correct placement to put ammo? enemies?
02. How big the rooms should be, how many enemies should be an one area

03. How many enemies should spawn kind of deal.

[What I've done]
I made several test maps to figure it out but by me testing out my own game and using the mp40 to test seems kinda easy, so its like in a sense I'm kinda stumped but since I'm only starting out in small room I just create a small area or large bunker and experiment and build from there.

01. Where is the correct placement to put ammo? enemies?

when designing your levels, use reference pictures, and make the levels around them loosely. remember to add lots of detail.

02. How big the rooms should be, how many enemies should be an one area

room size depends on what will happen in said room, and try not to have any more than 3-4 enemies to engage the player.

03. How many enemies should spawn kind of deal.

like I said, 3 or 4. to keep your fights long, try giving them 2 lives. that makes them take longer to kill.

I suggest you play some games that have been made by other people. Check out the BOTB Archive thread at the top of the Showcase forum.
