Hello ya'all:

After the latest McAfee update to Security Center 9.0, when installing eXtends, a message appears as in the attached JPG file. eXtends doesn't operate properly, as it does not copy all of the files. Note that the installer itself isn't virused - the virus is specifically in one of the dll files within the intstaller. I paid for eXtends, and would like a virus-free version. I left support a message about this - no response.

We use McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.5.0i at work, and I just got the same thing
IT folks flagged my machine...

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling.

My guess is that McAfee is flagging the plug-in in error, simply because no other virus checkers are flagging the same thing.

You should check that file again with a different AV to confirm my guess, and if it passes, instruct your McAfee AV to ignore the file.

I don't trust McAfee at all. I only use NORTON.

The file reported by your AV is not an eXtends plugin file.

I got the same report on install as Statue.

But if you turn off Mcafee and install anyway then run the scan it still find a file.

[EDIT]
I'm sure its a false report but it did flag my machine at work.
