Hey guys I was wonder if dbpro could make a little programme which would monitor and record what was happening in my other programme, kinda like an exteranal diagnostic programme to check a variety of things and info and check to see if the engine is performing 100% efficiency.

The only real way would be to use threads which would check to make sure the required program is still responding. For that, you would need to use C/Pascal/whatever, and do a plug-in.

You could use global atoms, which, whilst messy, could be done that was as long as all information was encoding in a string. You would need to know exactly what to search for though.

Shared memory with peek/poke would do the job (needs a plugin), or use the net commands and communicate via 127.0.0.1 (do this yourself)

Either way, you would need to code each program to be aware of each other.
