Yes. The interface is a pain to begin with but the keyboard shortcuts I find are applicable anywhere which is more than you can say for most packages; duplicate in the viewport is duplicate in the action editor. In 3D class, weight painting, 3DS Max proved indecipherable, (no tutorials either) Maya has a nasty habit of painting vertices for no apparent reason; you'll paint a bone, get it perfect, move to another and suddenly the bone you just painted will have random spots all over the mesh. Blender's system was actually more intuitive than either and it actually worked. Shame we can't get it to export to anything Unreal will accept; the only Unreal exporter seems to rearrange bones as it pleases and then rotate the lot 90 degrees about the X axis.

Athlon64 2.7gHz->OC 3.9gHz, 31C, MSi 9500GT->OC 1gHz core/2gHz memory, 48C, 4Gb DDR2 667, 500Gb Seagate + 80Gb Maxtor + 40Gb Maxtor = 620Gb, XP Home
Air cooled, total cost £160

Yes. Or at least I used to. Is there a point to this thread?

3 Dimensional Chat seems like a better place for this.

Yea I use to be an anim8or user but now I use it for the main purpose that it's extremely easy to get the models into unity3d.

I use blender. It's great once you figure out the complex interface.

If it hasn't exploded yet, I haven't touched it.

Has anyone used the new interface/UI? What do you think of it, compared to the old one?

Personally I find it a lot more user friendly and usable but having said that the old one was just as usable once you knew where everyting was!

If you (or anyone else) ever had problems with the old interface then i would definatly suggest trying the new version out!

if you have used the older versions, the newer one is sort of disorienting but also somewhat easier

I use Blender for most of my work, and it's a pretty good tool. People complain about the interface, thought I think that is just the popular way to critique Blender. Spend some time with it, and do look for the new interface in 2.5 if you cannot stand the current one.

I use it. I've got nothing against the new interface, except that I haven't quite learned where everything little thing ended up at yet. I prefer the old one simply because i'm more accustomed to it.

my only real complaint with the new one is that 2.5 seems to crash every time i try to mirror something.

2.5 has a lot of work to be done on it yet, so I don't use it for projects. That said, it really is shaping up to be special.
